Supreme Sikh Council UK is membership-based, democratic and representative. It draws its members mainly from Gurdwaras and other established national Sikh organisations. Thus, it draws its right of representation through them.
Any organisation that has existed in the UK for at least two years (for the benefit of the Sikh community), can apply to become an Affiliated Member Organisation, such as:
- Gurdwaras (Sikh temples)
- Local and Regional Gurdwara Councils
- Jathebandis (Sikh Interest Groups)
- Campaign Groups
- Youth Organisations
- Women’s Organisations
- Educational Establishments
- Social and Welfare Organisations
